Louvina May Gorrell Harvey

I don't have it recorded in my notes, but I believe that this Obit was from the Stronghurst Graphic. She passed 3, Oct., 1940. Louvina is a Grandmother of mine up the line.

Louvina May Garrell Harvey, a resident of Stronghurst , Ill., for the past five years passed away at 10:45 A. M. October 3, 1940 at her home after a lingering illness of 8 years. Louvina May Garell, daughter of Barney and Ellen Garrell was born march 12, 1858 at Hopper Mills, Henderson County, where she grew to young womanhood. She joined the Methodist Church of Hopper Mills at the age of 13. She was a graduate of the Oquawka High School adn taught school for several years.

On January 6, 1878 she was united in marraige to Robert William Harvey at Maryville, Missouri, going to Primgar, Iowa, to their new home. To this union were born five children, Mabel of Yale, Oklahoma, Clifford of Carman, Ill., Roland of Monmouth, Ill., Ada and Ross who preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her death her husband, one daughter, two sons, eleven grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

We wish to thank our friends and neighbors for the many kindnesses and sympathy shown us during the illness and at the death of our wife and mother, also to those who furnished cars and for the beautiful floral offerings.
