Dated June 8, 1894

Johnnie Morris, aged 16 years died suddenly while working for his grandfather, Thomas Morris, on Mrs. John Simpson's farm in Bald Bluff precinct last Friday. He had been working in the field and suddenly complained of pains in the head. He was taken to the house and lived but a little over an hour. It is supposed he was prostrated by the heat.

The funeral occurred at the Catholic church in Monmouth Sunday.

He was a son of Pat Morris; who lives in Warren County.
