Extracted from the Oquawka Spector, Wednesday March 30, 1904, Page 1 Col. 4 KILGORE -- Uncle John Kilgore died last Wednesday morning, at the age of 83 years, 2 months, and 4 days. He was born in York County, Pa., Jan. 19, 1821, and for many years has been a resident of this place and vicinity. One June 11, 1845, he was united in marriage with Miss Elizabeth Alexander, and to them were born eleven children, nine of whom are still living. Mr. Kilgore was a man of quiet disposition and well liked by all his acquaintances.-- Biggsville Clipper Note: He is buried in the Biggsville Cemetery next to his wife who passed away on June 27, 1879.
