WOODS- In Kirkwood, Mr. Woods was born in Knoxville, Blaunt county, Tenn., Dec, 6th, 1804, moved with his parents to Gibson county, Indiana, in 1809. He was married first, August 23, 1827, and again, October 17, 1833. Mr. Woods was taken sick September 21st, with typhoid pneumonia and for some time was quite feeble, but of late seemed to be recuperating, and his family were hopeful of his recovery. Monday, he took a relapse, and died at 5 o'clock, Tuesday morning. He was a man of high standing, and leaves a multitude of warm friends. Oquawka Spectator 6 Feb 1879 Submitted by Peggy Carey |
