born near Oakville, Des Moines County Iowa March 4, 1842 (?)

Came to Illinois in ?? Settled in Henderson county and for twenty years, nine months lived with the family of Wm. Beatty.

Died at Burlington Hospital in Burlington Iowa Thursday August 7, 1902.

The greater part of her life was devoted to caring for the sick. At an early age she was left alone to make rher own way in the world and with the odds very much against her for not only was she wholly dependent on her own efforts for support but duyring the greater part of her life she was in very poor health, yet by industry an frugality she had laid by a sufficient sum for defraying hospital and burial expenses. At an early age she identified herself with the Cumberland sPresbyterian Church at south Henderson.
