Glean Calvin Kimmitt
This obit is for my Great Uncle. Glean Calvin Kimmitt of Oquawka, father of Mrs. John Louck of this city, died this morning at 3:30 o'clock at the St. Francis hospital in Peoria. Born in Edina, Missouri, June 6, 1895, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Kimmitt. Mr. Kimmitt, a Wrold War I Veteran, was a construction worker at the IAAP in Burlington Iowa. Survivors include two daughters; Mrs. Louck (Katherine) of Monmouth, and Miss Alice Mae Kimmit of Oquawka, one son Richard of Burlington, Seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers, Pat of Oquawka an dEarl of Dallas City, 3 sisters and 3 brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Oquawka Union Church in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Clyde Wolfley. Burial will take place in Oquawka Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday afternoon at the Sederwall Funeral Home. |
