Obituaries

George W. Robbins

From the Daily Review Atlas in Monmouth Illinois.

George W. robbins, who had been a resident of Monmouth for six years, died August 14, 1913, at his home at 926 South fifth street after an illness from leakage of the heart which had extended over the preceding year.

He was a native of Henderson county, and had lived at Biggsville and Kirkwood before coming to Monmouth, employed here as a laborer.

While at Biggsville in 1889 he married Miss Jennie Hopkins, and to this union ten children were born, five of whom were living when he passed away. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church, and after service in his home the remains were taken to the Reed Methodst church for further service and for burial in the Reed cemetery.
