From the Daily Review Atlas in Monmouth Illinois. Dated Aug. 1918

Mrs. Emma (Her name actually was Emmer, as can be seen on her Grave Marker picture on the Reed Cemetery Page) Robbins died at the home of her son Willis in Honeywell, Mo., August 4, 1918, and her remains were brought to Kirkwood and taken to the home of her son, L.E. Robbins. Her funeral was held the next day at Reed, with Dr. W.P. Nicholas of the Kirkwood Presbyterian church in charge, and the burial was in the Reed cemetery.

Mrs. Robbins was born in England in 1839 and came to this country in 1842. In 1857 she married Rankin Robbins, and to this union eleven children were born, four of whom survived her.

For forty years she lived in the Reed neighborhood, but twelve years before her death she went to Missouri to make her home with her son. She was highly esteemed by all who knew her. Her husband preceeded her in death by thirteen years.
