Obituary of Mrs. Ellen Douglas Mother of Mrs. Ira Carr, who has been ill for a long time past and
confined to her bed since April, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carr, at an early hour yesterday
morning. She was in her 80th year and was a woman of love- able Christian character. She was a member
of the Methodist church. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. L. D. Van Arnam at the Carr
residence Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. The remains will be taken to Iowa next week for interment.
Mrs. Douglass, whose death is here announced as having occurred at Al- hambra, Cal., on Friday, Oct.
5th, 1906, was a younger sister of Mrs. Mary Neeper of Peach Bottom, Pa., who died four weeks
previously, on Friday, Sept. 7, 1906. She was in the 90th year of her age, a daughter of the late
Joshua Kilgore, of Peach Bottom township, of 11 brothers and sisters, 4 survive, --- Wm. K. Kilgore,
Lower Chanceford; Mrs. Jane Gibney, Fawn Grove; Mrs. Martha Wilson and Miss Lizzie Kilgore, of Peach
Bottom township.
