Survivors include his wife Ruby, two sons; John Gittings of Biggsville and Charles, at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Diana) James, also of Oquawka. Also surviving are four grandchildren, his mother of Dallas City, a brother, Loy and three sisters; Mrs. Alberta Dickson of Burlington, Ia., Mrs. Christina Pence of Hamilton and Mrs. Marie Uhls of Indianapolis Ind.
